Train journeys

There are two luxury trains that operate in South Africa; Rovos Rail and The Blue Train.  Both trains run routes from Cape Town to Pretoria (or Pretoria to Cape Town) but Rovos is a more leisurely experience, taking two nights to complete the journey whilst The Blue Train only one night.  Speak to one of our African travel experts to see which train is best suited to you.

The Rovos Rail experience is like stepping back in time.  Be prepared to turn off your mobile phone and shut down your computer to open a book, newspaper or game of backgammon to dream away the day as the train chuggs by.
