- Day 3:
Cusco city Tour & Surroundings - This excursion starts on the Main Square, known in Inca times as Huacaypata or “The Warriors Square”, this was the scene for many key events in Cusco’s history. The Cathedral, built between 1560 and 1664 with large stones of red granite taken from the Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, is one of the most imposing structures in the city, It houses one of the most signiﬁcant collections of gold and silver work of the colonial period. We'll continue to Koricancha and the Convent of Santo Domingo. The Convent was built on the amazing Koricancha (or site of gold), the most important temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun and whose walls were covered with sheets of gold. This Convent was built on a foundation of polished stone structures, the most ﬁnely crafted in Cusco, taken from the Inca sanctuary. After visiting these sites in the city, you will drive to the nearby ruins of Cuzco, such as Sacsayhuaman Fortress with his immense walls of temples made up of huge stones distributed in a zigzag pattern, the red Fort Puca Pucara, Qenko Amphitheatre and Tambomachay, the Inca baths. - Day 4:
Traditional Sacred Valley Tour- The Sacred Valley of the Incas was undoubtedly a key area of settlement to the Incas. Its agreeable climate and fertile plains make a rare and fruitful combination for the high Andes. It was also the route to the jungle and therefore an area with access to the fruits and plants of the tropical lowlands. Today the Sacred Valley remains a lush agricultural region supplying the city of Cusco with much of its produce such as maize, fruit and vegetables. Sacred Valley The visit is including Pisac ruins, this archaeological complex built between the 10th and 11th centuries AD. Inca architecture continues to stun admirers with the technique used to build its enormous walls, palaces and turrets with stone blocks, all done without any type of cement or adhesive. Continue to Indian Market which attracts thousands of visitors and people from remote communities, dressed in colorful, traditional attire. In the afternoon, visit to the Ollantaytambo Ruins, named in honor of the chief Ollanta, who was famous for courting an Inca Princess daughter of Pachacutec. One of its best preserved areas, known as Hanan Hucaypata lies north of the main square and contains 15 states built with elegantly crafted stone walks. At the end of the tour, we will ﬁnally arrive to Chinchero. In this very well know textile village was located the hacienda of the Royal Inca, Tupac Inca Yupanqui, as well as a Colonial church built over the original Inca constructions, which had trapez oidal windows. - Day 6:
This morning walk to the bus station to take your bus up to Machu Picchu. Tour Machu Picchu- Machu Picchu was only re-discovered in 1911 by the explorer Hiram Bingham, this citadel is considered to be one of the most extraordinary examples of landscapes architecture in the world. Located in an enclave on the saddle of a mountain overlooking the deep canyon of the Urubamba River, in an area of lush tropical forest, it served as a place of worship, a site for star-gazing and a private hacienda of the family of the Inca Pachacutec. It consists of two main areas one agricultural, formed mainly by mountains and food stores, and the other urban, which is noted for its sacred zone with its temples, squares and royal tombs. The stairways and canals carved out of stone are recurrent throughout this remarkable archaeological site. Machu Picchu was declared a Peruvian Historical Sanctuary in 1981 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. In 2007, Machu Picchu was chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. - Day 9:
Arequipa City Tour and Santa Catalina Convent - Private service. This tour lasts three hours, after picking the hotel begins with the visit of Yanahuara viewpoints and Carmen Alto, then visit the city streets representing San Francisco, Santo Domingo, ending with the monastery of Santa Catalina a representative architectural works. Similar to a small city, it is really a unique place. The monastery was built in the 16th century and opened to the public in 1970, it is one of the most important attractions of the city. - Day 10:
Spend the next 3 days/ 2 nights exploring Colca Canyon. After breakfast, we set oﬀ to the spectacular Colca Valley going up the foothills of Chachani volcano and admiring the Misti and Picchu Picchu Volcanoes. Then we cross the vicuña reservation of Pampa Cañahuas, where we can see them running free in the high Andean lands. The next stop is at a restaurant called the Chinitos to 4000 meters in height. Here passengers can use the restrooms and a drinking mate de coca. Continuing our trip, we make a stop on the f Toccra Pampa where you can see llamas, alpacas and some birds and will skirt the crater of the Chucura Volcano to reach the Los Andes Scenic Viewpoint in Patapampa (4910 m.a.s.l), from where you can see the various volcanoes that surround Arequipa. - Day 11:
Early in the morning we will go to the Condor Cross viewpoint. Before us will be the awesome ﬂight of the condors, huge Andean birds on the brink of extinction and symbol of the Andes mountain range. The view at this place allows us to appreciate the canyon’s depth, considered one of the deepest in the world. We will then visit the Yanque town which still keep the colonial church. Back in Chivay, you will visit the Maca town, and the Antahuilque and Peña blanca scenic viewpoints. We will take the lunch in Chivay then we will back to your hotel. - Day 12:
After breakfast at the hotel, you will go for Puno: a 4-5 hour ride will take you through more inﬁnite and beautiful landscapes. You will drive through most of the Peruvian “altiplano” and in the way we will do some stops like Chinito, lagunillas where you can see beautiful landscapes with a lago on and birds, Santa Lucia town only for bathroom. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Titilaka hotel. Overnight at Titilaka Hotel
- Day 13:
Today enjoy the facilities of the hotel or take one of the free excursions: Kayak around the hotel, rowing on the reeds, walking along the shores of the Titicaca lake, cycling to the ﬁelds of plateria, weaving communuty, Uros ﬂoating islands, local ﬂora and fauna of chucuito bay. Since the start of hotel operations, Titilaka has been committed to working on the development of the surrounding communities by providing employment for local residents, consuming inputs and handicrafts as well as using local materials for construction and decoration. In its concern for the community, Titilaka has signed an agreement with Kusimayo NGO in order to give ﬁnancial support to the most underprivileged populations in the area through education and health projects.
