Map

Day 1:
On arrival in Lusaka you will check in for the scheduled flight to Jeki airstrip in Lower Zambezi National Park where you will be transferred to stay at Chongwe River House for the next 3 nights.
Day 2:
During your stay, enjoy our impressive variety of safari activities, created for the ultimate exploration of this magnificent African paradise. By land, you can enjoy game drives and walking safaris, or take to the rivers and explore with boat cruises, canoeing safaris and tiger-fishing. At the nearby Chongwe River Camp, a brand new wildlife hide is great for photography, especially rare nocturnal creatures.
Day 3:
The Chongwe area is famous for large elephants, and they will frequently wander through camp in search of seed pods from the winterthorn trees or cross the river right in front of the house.
Day 4:
This morning you will be transferred to Jeki airstrip to take the scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to stay at Luangwa Safari House for the next 4 nights.
Day 5:
Enjoy any of the following activities:
Game drives
· An option of day or night drives.
· Toyota Landcruisers with two tier seats (three tier for groups / families) are used - a "window" seat (i.e. two people per row) for everyone.
· Open top vehicles, affording you total 360 degree vision.
Walking
· The walks are led by our knowledgeable guide, and escorted by an armed National Park scout.
· Our guiding team is very passionate and will certainly impart some amazing bush insights at a level that will surprise you.
Seasonal Boating - A special treat indeed for guests in the Emerald Season.
· From end December/January to around April.
· Explore the lagoons for enhanced game viewing and birding.
Village Tours
· A visit to Kawaza Village and the schools is often remembered years later by our guests as the most rewarding part of their visit to Africa. This gives a more holistic experience of the Luangwa Valley.
· Alternatively take a stroll within the community around the Mfuwe area which is bustling – small “dukas” (shops), the market, bars, and people offering various skills.
Wildlife Education Centre
· A charitable trust for the school children of the Luangwa Valley to teach them about wildlife and conservation.
· Great activity for the children especially.

Tribal Textiles
· For unique locally produced hand-painted textiles, drawing inspiration from the stunning Zambian wildlife and surroundings.
· A perfect place to buy a souvenir or two of your Zambian experience...
Day 6:
Today enjoy one of the many activities Luangwa Safari House has to offer.
Day 7:
Today enjoy one of the many activities Luangwa Safari House has to offer.
Day 8:
This morning you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for the scheduled flight to Likoma Island via Lilongwe where you will clear immigration. On arrival you will be met and transferred to stay at Kaya Mawa for the next 4 nights at Kaya Mama at Ndomo House
Day 9:
Ndomo Point House is situated on the southwestern tip of Likoma Island in the Lake Malawi area of Malawi. Set on rocks above a beautiful beach, this house in an annexe of the nearby Kaya Mawa Lodge and is ideal for family groups looking for complete privacy.
Activities include freshwater diving, snorkelling and sailing. Best of all we find is the interaction that guests are able to have with this wonderful island community, who derive considerable benefits from the presence of the lodge. Exploring the island by bike and on foot is a real pleasure.

Today is at leisure to enjoy any of the activities offered.

Day 12:
Today you will be transferred to Likoma airstrip to take the scheduled flight to Lilongwe. On arrival you will check in for your international flight home. We hope you had a great time.
